Video: An adventure at seldom-visited Fort Henry

Here’s a video capturing our visit to Fort Henry, the site Ulysses S. Grant seized on Feb. 6, 1862. Just ten days later, he took nearby Fort Donelson in Dover, Tennessee — an early triumph that cemented his reputation as a field commander. Although most of Fort Henry now lies beneath Kentucky Lake, remnants of its outer earthworks still stand in the surrounding woods.
