Leading his troops astride his horse, Confederate Brigadier General James Deshler was killed by a shell to the chest during the Battle of Chickamauga (Ga.) on Sept. 20, 1863. Follow in his troops' footsteps in this video, which shows a pyramid of cannonballs that marks the approximate spot where Deshler (right) was killed. His brigade included soldiers from Texas and Arkansas.
