Strangely, my youngest daughter has had an affinity for Punxsutawney, Pa. So on the way back to Connecticut, we stopped by the little town northeast of Pittsburgh. Meredith has been able to spell Punxsutawney since she was about 4 or 5. We didn't spot Punxsutawney Phil, but we did find several versions of the next-best thing. After we snapped the above photo, a nice lady on her way in to a pharmacy asked if we'd like to visit the local museum, which includes a little display on the famous groundhog. Only in America do you find these things.
