Where Union General Jesse Reno fell at Fox's Gap


A visit to the site where 39-year-old Jesse Reno was mortally wounded during the Battle of South Mountain (Md.) on Sept. 14, 1862. Nearby, Confedederate General Samuel Garland, 31. was mortally wounded.

    Wisconsin. I plan to travel through Virginia and explore the battlefield s. Why is the Reno monument so much larger than Garlands? Thanks
