Antietam panorama: Mumma family graveyard

Click on image for full-screen panorama.

Taken on a sunny day in early May, this is an interactive panorama of the Mumma graveyard on Antietam battlefield. Samuel Mumma's nearby farm house was torched by the Rebels on the day of the battle, preventing it from being used by Union sharpshooters. Crouched in the graveyard, Confederates traded shots here with the 13th Pennsylvania before being chased off. Many of the gravestones pre-date the battle.
