Antietam: A photographic journey back in time

ANTIETAM SUNRISE: Near Visitors' Center, the New York monument looming in background.
BURNSIDE BRIDGE: "Witness tree" next to bridge in an early morning photograph.
JOSEPH POFFENBERGER FARM:  Staging area for Union troops.
BLOODY LANE: Observation tower and 132nd Pennsylvania monument in background.
BURNSIDE BRIDGE: An iconic Civil War scene.
FARMER JOHN OTTO'S 40-ACRE FIELD:  16th Connecticut monument in the background.
I channeled my inner Alexander Gardner, Mathew Brady and Timothy O'Sullivan to create these shots of some of my favorite Antietam scenes.
