Both were transferred from the Co.F 48th GA Inf. "Battleground Guards" on June 23, 1862. John died of disease in the 2cd GA Hospital in Richmond on Oct 10, 1862. From Henry's muster rolls, it would seem he was close to a good many major battles around Antietam & Charleston. He was slightly wounded in Olustee and records show a monthly pay receipt from 01/01/1864 to 02/24/1864 for $22 about that same time. While serving under A.H. Colquitt, he was admitted to Jackson Hospital on Aug 14,1864 & released on Aug 31, 1864. Nothing else is known. He never came home and no word of what happened to him. Another note: Henry's wife was Mary Ann Parker. Her brother was James B. Parker (front page/line 47), was promoted to corporal 1862 and was killed on Sept 17, 1862 in Antietam.
