My ancestor Thomas Vanhorn was ki...Very sad story. My ancestor Thomas Vanhorn was killed by a Confederate Sharpshooter on June 19, 1864 at Petersburg. Supposedly he was buried on the battlefield and I've found no record anywhere of a grave.
