Antietam: Soldier chit-chat in Middle Haddam, Connecticut

Christ Episcopal Church in Middle Haddam, Conn.
If you're in Middle Haddam, Conn., on Saturday afternoon (and really, why wouldn't you be?), you should stop by Christ Episcopal Church at 66 Middle Haddam Road for my talk about Connecticut soldiers who fought at the Battle of Antietam. The event starts at 2 p.m. The historic church is where services were held on October 24, 1862 for George Crosby, a 19-year-old lieutenant in the 14th Connecticut, who was mortally wounded at Antietam. Crosby is buried across the road from the church, in Union Hill Cemetery. He died at the house of his parents in Middle Haddam 37 days after the battle. Check out the trailer for the talk above.
